Star Bit Solutions respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us. Effective 05 May 2019. Last reviewed 01 October 2026.
In short: we collect only what we need to answer you and deliver our services, we never sell or rent personal data, this website sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to info@starbitsolutions.com.
1. Scope and information we collect
This policy applies to visitors, users, customers and partners across the Star Bit Solutions websites, applications and digital services, including StarBiz, StarHub, StarBot, StarLearn, StarSense and OdooStar, our Odoo services and modules.
Depending on how you interact with us, the information we process may include:
- Contact and company details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, company name and the content of your message.
- Your CV, application details and any links you send when you apply for a role or register your interest.
- Technical data about your device and browser, such as IP address, browser type and the pages you request, recorded in standard server logs.
- Service usage information when you use one of our applications under a contract with us or your organisation.
- Health and wellbeing records you choose to keep in StarHub, used only to provide the service to you.
- Information stored by your browser for this website, as described in section 6.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate and improve our services.
- Respond to enquiries, consultation requests and support requests.
- Assess job applications and, where you ask us to, keep your details on file for future roles.
- Send updates and communications you have agreed to receive.
- Analyse performance and improve the user experience of our services.
- Protect against fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Meet our legal and contractual obligations.
3. Website forms, WhatsApp and email
When you submit a contact, demo or call-back form on this website, the details you type are sent to a third-party form-delivery service, FormSubmit, which forwards them to our mailbox at info@starbitsolutions.com. The service processes your submission only to deliver that email. If the service cannot be reached, your details stay in the form and the page offers links to send the same message by email or WhatsApp instead. Each link opens that app with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send.
WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp with a suggested message only when you tap them. Messages you then send are handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy, and by us as part of our correspondence with you. Phone and email links simply open your phone or email application.
Each form includes a hidden field that helps us filter automated spam. It does not collect any information about you.
4. Sharing, retention and security
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as email, hosting and form-delivery providers, and only for that purpose. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legitimate rights and safety, or as part of a corporate restructuring.
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or to meet legal requirements. We protect it with administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the type of data and the risks involved.
5. Your rights
Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data, ask for a portable copy, or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
To make a request, email info@starbitsolutions.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.
6. Cookies, third parties and international transfers
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's session storage only to remember, for the current visit, that you have closed a pop-up or already sent a form, so that we do not show it again. That information never leaves your browser and is cleared when you close the tab.
Our applications may use cookies where they are needed to sign you in and keep your session secure. Our websites link to third-party sites such as the Odoo App Store, LinkedIn, Facebook, GitHub, WhatsApp and Google Maps, which have their own privacy policies.
Where personal information is processed outside the country in which it was collected, we apply appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
7. Children and policy updates
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through it. Some of our applications can hold information about children: schools and training providers may use StarLearn with younger learners, and parents or guardians may keep information about their children in StarHub. When a school or other organisation uses StarLearn, it decides how StarLearn is set up for its learners, who can see their information and how long it is kept, and we process that information on its behalf under our agreement with it. If you believe a child has given us personal data through this website, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with a revised date.
